Recipe for spirulina-sticks
- small can of green peas
- spirulina
- freeze dried gammarus
- 60ml disposable syringe (available at pharmacys)
- a strainer
Strain the peas, so they will be seperated from their peel. Shred the freeze dried gammarus as fine as possible. Then mix up the mash with spirulina (about one third) and add about 20% of the squelched gammarus.
You will end up with a firm bluish green pulp. Fill it into the syringe and form tiny, up to 1,5cm long sticks down on a washable pad. Now dry for a day until the sticks can easily be broken into little pieces.
Freeze the left overs.
Even after hours the sticks will not dissolve in your tank. They will fairly be accepted by shrimps, as well as by other invertebrates and freshwater fish.
The recipe can be varied as desired. You might like to add some paprika powder or other spices as well as dried fish food or other delicious stuff. “Almost” no borders are set to your fantasy.
