I was wondering what the plan for the site was? Are you going to be inviting memebers over from your other board? Were you all administrators from that board and jumped ship or did you own that board also? Someone mentioned in another post that this board was not officially open yet? Any plans on when to open it up to the public? I noticed there are links to 4 other aquarium type ranking sites and I'm not sure if you want to add a 5th but www.aquarank.com is also another popular ranking site that may add more traffic to the board. I guess this is enough questions for now. |

Hello Josh,
we want to invite people from all over the world to talk about invertebrates - we want to make the invertebrate world smaller and on the other side, we want to help beginners, so that more invertebrate friends have fun with it.
George has started the german community in may 2005 and we have made it to germay's premier invertebrate forum. Some of the mods here are also teammember at the german page, but not all.
Yesterday we have start official - we made it published in our german community. But we worked hard and many things would come in the next days/weeks and the start isn't complete yet ( Of course a community is never complete )
With the ranking pages we opened it for the public, but now we need more advertising in the whole world. We are searching for linkpartners in many countries.
Thank you for the link to the ranking page. |

Hi!
some of us are mods from the german board, others, including myself are new in this forum.
everyone is invited here, we hope to reach as many people as possible with our forum, so that we realy become an international forum.
off course we are already "open", but we didn't start our promotion just yet, that will take a few more days; we hope, to attract lots of people by this.
thanks for the link, I'll see into it!
cu,
steffi

Hi Josh,
regarding your questions about the plans and the history of this board I would like to explain, that this board is a part of the german board. We saw in our statistics that we have a lot of international clicks on our german board. So we decided to start an international board for those users. Our main intention is to provide recent informations about shrimps, crawfish and snails to other "invertebrates-maniacs"
We startet in May 2005 with the german board and managed to become the greatest board for invertebrates in the german speaking region within less than 8 month. Now we started the international board and hope to provide the same good and qualified informations here for our international users. We hope that this will lead us to the same success that we have on the german sites.
The mods and admins from the german board are working hand in hand with the main mods of this board (chrisp, mysteria, nadine, weisswasser), but the four main mods are doing the hole work and we try to assist where ever it is neccessary.
The garnelenforum-team is a big lucky family and the crustaforum-team is a part of this family! |
