The more I hear about and learn about Blue Tiger Shrimp and their keepers/breeders the more interesting they become. I mean it seems that they can be adapted to do well in a wide variety of conditions in water from soft acedic like the Normal tiger Shrimp or harder water as George has mentioned he keeps his in....
I do know this will not work well with regular Tiger Shrimp (hard water) and wonder now what is best for the Blue Tiger as far as long life and breeding?

Hi Bill,
this would depend very much on the water parameters they had been raised in, I think.
I wouldn't put blue tigers from a soft-water tank into one with hard water, this is bound to trigger molting problems.
From hard to soft is not as bad, but can also lead to adaptation problems and maybe early deaths.
The offspring (if there is any) in both cases should do better, however.
Cheers
Ulli
