Well my shrimp hobby never seems to stop growing and I have moved into a new building just for shrimp tanks...well really...the wife kicked me out of the house...um...not me the shrimp.Laughing

Anyway it is coming along nicely and I thought I'd share a couple photos of my 20 x 10 room. One wall is coming together as you will see and I have lots of room to feed my madness as I add more racks...

All shrimp survived the move without any problems, room has it's own AC and heat with a 50 amp generator for backup if the power should fail....Gets hot in a small room fast here in AZ, USA with daytime temps to 117 F (46 C) and that was a worry for me during monsoon when we have occasional power outages. Loss of AC could be a disaster, but these temp extremes only last for 4 months and the rest of the year here is wonderful.

Much more room for breeding projects and more shrimp eventually.

Cheers, Bill

Hey Bill,

I think your wife can not accept the shrimps next to her in your life Wink

But we all know that shrimps need love, right?

Your tanks look really impressiv.
I counted twelve or do you have more in other rooms?

What is your plan to keep the temperature down in the summertime?
117°F is pretty high.

Keep it up Wink

Hi Nikolas,

I have installed an AC unit and that keeps the room at 72 degrees F. Yes there are 12 tanks set up in the room so far. I will be setting up more as required.

Cheers, Bill

Wow,

this looks awesome, Bill!

And it looks like you have plenty of room left...

Do you keep 12 different shrimp species?

Wow.

Cheers

Hi Bill,

your shrimp room looks very nice. It is an good idea to keep them all in one room, mine are allotted all over the house - that doesn't make it easier.

I would like to know what kind of shrimp you keep and maybe you would give us the oportunity for closer looks into your tanks? Can you make closeup views of some or maybe all the tanks and the inhabitants? That would be great - but take your time for it Smile

Regards, Noa

Hi Bill,

wow, what an assortment! Just so cool.

The Snow Bee/Snow White Bee (I know them under these names) is real nice! I think (but might be mistaken due to translational problems) that the bone shrimp looks more skeleton-like, like here: http://www.garnelenforum.de/board/attachment.php?attachmentid=4063&d=1201602796

This picture belongs to Björn from Garnelenforum and was originally posted here: http://www.garnelenforum.de/board/showthread.php?t=104904&highlight=skeleton

I have almost completed the West Wall now and will begin the East side soon. On the East Wall will be larger tanks for large breeding populations.

West Wall is all 20 US Gallon and 10 US Gallon tanks...
