Snail trap
Take an empty box, e.g. one that served as a container for meat salad. Clean it thoroughly.
Put some self-adherent tape around the rim in order to avoid splintering when you make the holes.
Then you bore six holes close to the rim with a 10 mm drill. You should also make a hole in the bottom (the box will be upside down in the end) so trapped air can escape.
To make the trap even more efficient you could glue the tapered ends of silicone containers to the holes (only the first two or three centimeters) so the snails can crawl inside but don't find their way out.
Finally you put a food pellet or whatever your snails like into the container, close the lid and put it upside down into your aquarium.
However, you should monitor the trap closely so no small fish get caught. They could actually die of lack of oxygen in there within an hour or so.
