Hi all,

I have a dozen white pearl shrimps since October. I had only one pregnant shrimp at the beginning but unfortunately she dropped her eggs before hatching. Until now, I have no other berried female. They seem odd because the white spot in their neck is rather small compared to the pics I have found on the net. I am sure I have both males and females Smile .

My tank is about 20 L, it is filtered by a sponge filter. I change 1/3 of the water every week. My water parameters are: KH 9, Gh 14, 23°C. The tank is planted with Najas, Riccia, Anubia.

Is breeding seasonal or is there a problem with my set up? Question

Hello,

your setup seems to be good to me. Sometimes the anubia could make problems but not for the breeding.

I have seasonal no eggs, too. But this isn't allways so. Some breeders have the whole year egg-carrying shrimps.

Hi you just have to wait they breed from alone.
as soon as they skin they swimm around and then the mate.
They are beautyfull shrimps und as far as i know you just have to wait
They say anubia are poison for shrimps but there is no proof if that is true.
