Hej Carole,

nice development! I do like your moss in the second tank. Flame moss, isn't it?

What has happened to the second bonsai?

Cheers
Ulli

Dried up as a crisp Sad The pot was very tiny, and it just declined. I tried rescuing it in a bigger pot, but it was just too late.I should try to get a close up for you of the little bonsai. It's cool..it's roots are growing over a stone.
Yes, that is flame moss. My favorite. Cool Thanks Ulli!

Ohh, what a pity!

I really like the root-over-rock style, I've given one of my Chinese elms a rock to grow over now. Sodalith, should look really cool when the roots finally cling to it. I think I'll have to wrap the entire thing in sphagnum moss again to promote root thickening...

I just love flame moss. I got a small clump of that from a friend for my 30 litre tank.

Cheers

Hi Carole,

I can't wait to see your new tank. Why do you replace the 10G? (Besides going for bigger, obviously Wink )
The path looks nice.

Great mosura, the white is very dense. How big is it?

Cheers
Ulli

Thanks Ulli! The shrimp is maybe 1/2" or so. I am wondering if it is a male? If so I think he is my only male CRS.

Hi Carole,

looks like you´re planing a "Landscape" tank. I´m curious about the way it will look in the end.

Hi Heike. The sand will not be as much of a focal point in this tank as it seems right now. I put it there for a few reasons. Dwarf hairgrass loves it, and my kuhli loaches will appreciate it. Also, the sand is a good place to feed, it's easier to get leftovers up if needed. I started last evening, and am continuing into today boiling the driftwood for the tank. This tank is going to be fun. I have been collecting all types of plants..not sure which ones I will eventually keep in it. I want to learn CO2 with this tank. It will have two seperate T-5 light fixtures. One is 2 X 24 wt, the other 2 X 18 wt.

Hi Carole,

I´m not using CO2 so I can´t help you there. I have a tank with gravel and sand but all inhabitants seem to mix it around. Now there is gravel on the sand even though I had a demarcation between it right down to te ground.

Heike..I have found keeping the sand and gravel apart is a challenge. I like to keep them pretty much seperate in my nano tanks, so I work dilligently with tools to fix them. Alot... Smile
