Our rabbit had to undergo an operation and afterwards had to be spoon-fed for a day with baby food. (The things we do...)

I had over half a glass of mashed carrots left, which I didn't want to throw away.
Thus I decided to make some shrimp food. Instead of ready-made carrot puree you can also steam some fresh carrots and mash them.
I also cooked some deep-frozen peas and strained them in order to get rid of the skins. You can also use canned peas, however, I prefer deep-frozen as they have more vitamins.

Then I added paprika for additional carotene, which helps the color. Besides, my shrimp are crazy about it.
I use a 10 ml syringe without a needle for making the sticks.

Then press long strands of mix out of the syringe. This time I'm using baking paper, but parchment also works.
I also tried making flakes this time. For that purpose, spread some of the mix flat on the paper.

Let it all dry for two to three days. Everything has to be totally hard or else the food will spoil.

Store in a box or a paper bag. Do not use anything airtight!
