Hi there,
I'd like to show you what my community tank looks like at present, Jan '06. As you can see it is heavily planted and provides a lot of hiding places for all its inhabitants such as a bunch of "Caridina cf. breviata bumble bee", some "Aplocheilichthys normani", a pair of "Cambarellus shufeldtii" & "Trichopsis pumilla" as well as few "Melanoides granifera" and the blue "Pomacea bridgesi"...

Hi there,
well thanx for the compliment, Josh. Actually I'm just redecorating it, since I got myself some beautiful new plants. But the wooden root will stay as it is Wink pictures will follow soon!

Hello everyone;
well, it's been a long time but I think the new face of my 54l community tank is worth to be shown to public Smile It seemed as if the java moss was the only plant that was able to do with my poor illumination and so I took all the others out of the tank, except for some stemps of the Hydrocotyle leucocephala, which gives some nice contrast to the monotonous appearance. Some riccia cushions offer shelter to the fry and a few moss balls (Cladophora aegagropila) complete the scene.

However, the shrimps love it! Wink

Hi Xema,
thanks for the compliment Wink the fish is called "Aplocheilichthys normani" or "Normani's Lampeye" - my absolute favourite when it comes to socializing fresh water shrimps. He is such a lovely and peaceful little guy never to harm other inhabitans...
