the nitrite was at 0.6 until yesterday, then it fell to 0.4, and this morning it was at 0.2. This afternoon I measured again, now it's down to 0.1 - if it decreases at this rate I can start putting snails in soon!

That will be one realy active tank how will you keep track of the animals?!But it should look realy great "the tank taht never sleeps" !
Oh,How big is that math filter of yours 400L- i imagine realy big!?
The filter mat is 50x50x5 cm and has 30 ppi - it's HUGE.
And putting it in has cost us a lot of nerves, but now everything looks cool.
